The girls varsity basketball team opened up their season with a hard fought 32-24 victory at Hebron. Maliayah Peoples led all scorers with 15 points and added 9 steals. Iyahni Grinston just missed a double-double with 8 points and 16 rebounds. Reylynn Corley added a pair of 3 pointers for 6 points and Heaven White rounded out the scoring with 3 points, all from the free-throw line. Jordan Bradford contributed 5 rebounds and Simaya Mitchell grabbed 5 rebounds to go with 3 steals. The Lady Wolves are back in action Tuesday 11/11 when they host Munster in their home opener. JV will tip off at 5:30, with Varsity following at approximately 7:00.
