The Lady Wolves traveled to LaCrosse tonight for a Varsity only game against Tri-Township. After falling behind by 12 in the second quarter, the Wolves used a 6-0 run to pull within 12 at half. The run continued in the third quarter as MC pulled even heading into the fourth. Simaya Mitchell hit the third of her three triples to put MC up 34-33 with under three minutes to play, but Lucia Orjas scored the final 4 points of the game to seal the win for the Tigers. Maliyah Peoples led the Wolves attack with 12 points, with Mitchell adding 11. Reylynn Corley scored all 5 of her points in the third quarter, while Alana Eckwood, Jordan Bradford and Iyahni Grinston all chipped in 2 points. The Wolves are back in action at the Den on Saturday against Plymouth. JV tips at 5 with Varsity to follow at 6:30.
