Girls DAC Championship Meet The girls swim team delivered a strong and memorable performance at the Duneland Athletic Conference Championships, showcasing determination, growth, and teamwork throughout the meet. Competing against some of the conference’s best programs, the team rose to the challenge and produced multiple personal-best swims. Their efforts reflected months of hard work and commitment in the pool. Overall, the meet served as a celebration of progress and perseverance for the entire squad. One of the meet’s highlights came in the 200 medley relay, where Batoul Achy, Maddy Parry, Emmaleigh Kempf, and Audrey Hardacker combined for an impressive sixth-place finish. The relay team touched the wall in 2:26.49, demonstrating solid exchanges and strong racing under pressure. Their performance set a positive tone early in the meet. Finishing in the top six at a conference championship is a notable accomplishment. Individually, Batoul Achy delivered a standout swim in the 200 freestyle. She dropped over five seconds from her previous best time, an impressive improvement in one of the meet’s most demanding events. Her drop highlighted both improved endurance and confidence in racing strategy. Achy’s performance was a clear example of how focused training translated into results when it mattered most. Audrey Hardacker also had an excellent championship meet, posting significant time drops in multiple events. In the 50 freestyle, she cut over one second, showing improved speed and explosiveness. She followed that with an even bigger improvement in the 100 freestyle, dropping nearly two and a half seconds. These performances underscored her versatility and continued development as a sprinter. Maddy Parry made major strides in her distance and stroke events, contributing important points for the team. In the 500 freestyle, she cut over two seconds to swim a 6:50.25, demonstrating consistency and strength throughout the race. Parry also dropped more than two seconds in the 100 breaststroke, highlighting her technical progress. Her improvements were among the most impactful of the meet. The 200 freestyle relay team also represented the program well with a seventh-place finish. Emmaleigh Kempf, Olivia Swistek, Audrey Hardacker, and Maddy Parry teamed up to swim a 2:11.88. Their relay showed strong splits and teamwork, closing the race with determination. Finishing seventh in a competitive conference field was a well-earned result. Another major highlight came from Olivia Swistek in the 200 IM, where she dropped nearly eight seconds from her previous time. Such a large improvement in a demanding event reflects significant growth across all four strokes. Swistek’s performance was a testament to her hard work and versatility.
