The Michigan City Varsity Wolves baseball team were defeated by Highland, 13-2, on Monday. Highland scored early in the game and added to their lead in the third inning. The Wolves continued to compete throughout, working to generate offense and limit additional scoring opportunities. On the mound, Jacob Hazel struck out five hitters over three and two-thirds innings. The Wolves totaled seven hits in the game. Derrek Fowler led the Wolves with two RBIs, going 1-for-3 at the plate. Mahdi Mroueh added two hits from the leadoff spot, finishing 2-for-3. The Wolves will look to regroup as they travel to 1A #1 Kouts for their next game on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 4:45 pm.
