Michigan City Boys Volleyball (MCHS BVB) falls short to Valpo in 3 sets. With scores being 18-25, 14-25, and 17-25, they do not reflect the battle scene during each set. At the start of set 1, MCHS BVB allowed the score to get to 4-14 before going on a 12-2 run, tying the game at 16 all. Key highlights include the serve/pass game our DS's and outsides provided for our setter, in order for him to be able to run a controlled offense against a big block defense provided by Valpo. Our "hot hand" of the evening was Josh Vaughn. He hit over the big block multiple times and swung at a fast-paced rate, establishing the block defense targeting him first. This allowed for our other hitters to see more 1-on-1 matchups when attacking. Our next match will be at the Wolves Den on Thursday, April 3rd against LaPorte at 5:00pm.
