Varsity vs LaPorte High School (2 - 3) Loss The reverse sweep (25-21, 25-19, 23-35, 21-25, 5-15) was in full effect for the LaPorte Slicers against the Michigan City Wolves. The Wolves beat the Slicers in the DAC-O-RAMA, but the Slicers came to play with vengeance. The Wolves offense got quiet against a scrappy and tenacious defense late in the match. Taking the first 2 sets, the Wolves couldn't find the flow against the rival, Slicers. LaPorte came out fierce in the 3rd set and never looked back. Emmanuel Sanchez and Joshua Vaughn led the way again as the Wolves' go-to hitters. Sanchez, the Wolves' floor captain, was our all-around stand-out on the court. Playing every point of the match, Sanchez made the hustle plays on defense, set up the offense with the first ball touch of the serve from LP, and put away the ball on offense when being fed. The Wolves next match will be next Saturday, April 4th at Munster (11:00am). Upcoming games will be Monday at Lake Central, Wednesday home against Morgan Twp, and Thursday at Chesterton.
