In the first half of the day, Michigan City competed against New Prairie and battled to a 0-0 tie. Briley Fugate played Goalie in her first varsity match and had numerous saves. City had several chances to score, but were unable to convert. In the second half of the day, City outscored La Porte 5-2. Rosie Lagunas and I'munique Bush scored their first varsity goals. Kiara Williams had 2 goals and Isabella Serrano also scored. Defensively, the back four held their ground and limited La Porte to two goals. Overall, it was a good day and we are looking forward to the home opener on 8/19 vs. Crown Point.
